We have a few changes to our timetable for January, and Thursday mornings will now be our ‘Beginners’ mornings. If you are looking to try something new, or have been recommended to do particular exercises for health reasons, check out the new classes & workshops below.
10:45-11:45 – Ballet4Life with Chris – Beginners Adult Ballet class, where you will be guided through the basics of technique, correct posture as well as artistry, in a safe and fun environment, with the accompaniment of great music.
12:00-13:00 – Yoga Foundations with Belen – This is a gentle class focusing on basic yoga postures and the fundamental principles of yoga, breaking down the individual poses for beginners and first timers.
In other news, Sona will be back to teach the Tuesday morning Hatha Yoga course at 9:30-10:45, as well as the Mum & Baby Yoga at 11:00-12:15. The Restorative Yoga will move from Friday’s to Wednesday’s at 11:15-12:15.
At weekends we run a variety of Workshops, some regular ones and some new ones. Every other month we run our Hypnobirthing course with the fantastic Rosie Gray, The Richmond Doula, as well as Baby First Aid with Katherine Whitby at Baby-Steps. Katherine has been teaching these very popular courses with us since 2006.
To better your posture or improve flexibility and balance, have a look at the Alexander Technique, Happy Hips Yoga or Tai Chi workshops. Although these are quite different workshops, they all work towards the same goal.
More for the mind is our Meditation Workshop – A Day of Peace & Calm, with Karen Young. Karen is a highly experienced teacher of Meditation & Mindfulness and has been teaching workshops at Earthlife since 2004.
Recently we ran an introduction to the Face Yoga Method (FYM) workshop and we have had quite a few enquiries about it. There will be another introductory workshop in February, where you can learn to tone the muscles beneath the facial skin and increase facial circulation and blood flow, resulting in a more youthful and radiant complexion.
