FUNNY WOMEN Comedy Workshop
with Lynne Parker
Sat 9th Oct - 14:30-16:30

Funny Women helps women to explore their funny side to build self confidence, improve relationships and enhance communications. Over the last 7 years, over 1,000 women have found their comedy voice through workshops, one to one coaching and live events.

Women are compelled to make speeches at social events and professional women are encouraged to share their experiences on public and media platforms. Communication skills are increasingly important for achieving personal and professional success.

Funny Women has taken what it’s learned through developing and producing live comedy, to create bespoke corporate events and interactive workshops. Enjoy two hours with your female friends and colleagues exploring how a humorous approach to business can empower you.

Lynne Parker

Producing comedy is Lynne’s dream job, combining her interest in the entertainment and charity worlds with her extensive experience as a marketer.

Lynne originally trained as a journalist and spent the first years of her career writing for consumer and trade publications about fashion and beauty topics. This made way for a diversion into public relations and marketing along with stints at TV presenting for cable television channel, Living. Lynne had her own successful PR consultancy and managed many successful promotional campaigns working with well known brands like Asda, W H Smith, The Prince’s Trust, Thames Water, Hyundai Car UK, Pepe Jeans, Umbro, Nike.

Funny Women grew out of the need to satisfy clients with creative strategies. Funny Women is now expanding into the corporate sector with a bespoke programme which uses the basis of stand up comedy to improve self confidence and presentation skills for women in both their professional and personal lives.

Lynne is married with two teenage children and lives in West London. She is a member of the Certified Institute of Public Relations and was the president of Women in PR from 2001-2003.
