Covering First Aid and the initial steps to follow in an range of emergency situations – if a child became suddenly unwell, was injured, ingested a poisonous substance, had a fit, meningitis or head injuries. As well as tips to help you feel more confident in caring for your child when they have minor illness, it also includes tips on what to have in your medicine cabinet, recognising various signs and symptoms and where and when to seek medical advice.

Katherine Whitby Baby-Steps Childhood Illness & AccidentsBaby-Steps focuses on developing parents’ confidence and reducing anxiety. Katherine Whitby, founder of ‘Baby-Steps’ is a Paediatric Nurse and Health Visitor.

 

She has extensive experience in answering parents’ questions about all aspects of child development and offering practical support and advice. Katherine has over 10 years experience caring for sick children at Great Ormond Street Hospital, the Cromwell Hospital and in Chelsea and Westminster’s Accident & Emergency dept.

 

As a Health Visitor, Katherine runs Well Baby Clinics, Post Natal groups and visits families at home.
