The receiver lies on a futon style mattress with loose clothing on. It is a deep full body treatment combining acupressure, gentle stretching and applied Hatha Yoga. The practitioner uses not only their hands but also feet, arms, elbows and knees. This helps release blocked energy and frees the body's own natural healing potential, thus restoring balance, health and harmony. The body is revitalised leaving a feeling of calmness and improved energy levels. Deluxe Manicure and Deluxe Pedicure 15% Off until 31st March During the cold winter months nails and cuticles on both hands and feet, becomes very dry and can cause the nails to break and cuticles to become damaged; leaving your hands looking dry and lifeless. Treat your hands and feet with a deluxe manicure or pedicure and have them revived ready for spring! In addition to the usual steps of cuticle work, filing, buffing and application of polish, the Deluxe Manicure or Pedicure also includes the application of paraffin wax. These treatments are particular popular in the winter because they are warning and they provide a great deal of moisture to dry and cracked skin. During paraffin wax treatments, the skin is bathed in warmth, which helps the pores to open and the skin soften. Once the skin has been allowed to soak in the wax and the layer has hardened, it can be pulled off in one solid piece. Because the wax is soft and contains oil, it does not become very stiff and does not adhere to the skin. After the paraffin wax treatment the skin is left slick and soft. To book any of these treatments, please contact Earthlife on 020 8940 0888 or email info@earth-life.co.uk. | | | | (back to the top) | | | EXERCISE CLASSES | | As mentioned; Group Exercise is a fun way to get fit, meet new friends and get new challenges. Everyone, that is, except you. If this is supposed to be such a happy time, why do you feel so low? You're not alone, postnatal depression affects a large amount of mothers. Some degree of emotional vulnerability is natural and expected after childbirth. If you have the blues, you may be weepy, anxious, unable to sleep and you may also be irritable or moody. Research has shown that an exercise program can be very effective against depression, and especially group exercise with other mums. You may find it hard in the beginning, but the key is getting started. Make a pact with yourself to take a walk today. Step by step, you will start feeling better. Begin exercising with short walks or swims. Exercise will help you feel better in many ways both physical and emotional. We know that studies prove that regular exercise helps combat depression, plus it will help you regain your pre-baby body much more quickly. Your new baby will benefit from your exercise program as well as it is a truly wonderful way for your baby to get out and experience all the world has to offer. The sights, sounds and smells of the great outdoors will be very stimulating for your baby. And who knows, both you and your baby may make some new friends while you are exercising and showing him off. At Earthlife we offer a variety of Mum & Baby classes, such as Buggyfit, which is done outdoors in the fresh air with your baby in its buggy. A one hour class of power walking, stretches, strengthening and toning, which will improve posture and pelvic floor strength to make you look and feel great! We also offer Baby Massage classes and Mum & Baby Yoga to promote strength and vitality and improve posture through gentle yoga poses, which are done with the babies, allowing mum and baby to get to know and bond with each other.
